A grace-based community rooted in the unconditional love of God, founded in the Tampa Bay area in 2016.

How We Started
Christ Centered Church of Tampa — also known as Centered Church — traces its roots to 2005, when Pastor Eby Varghese launched a small home Bible study in the Tampa Bay area. What began as an intimate gathering for prayer, fellowship, and the study of God's Word steadily grew into a vibrant spiritual community.
In 2008, the ministry formally incorporated in Florida as Wilderness Tabernacle, a Malayalam Pentecostal congregation that rented worship space at 201 E Clay Ave in Brandon. By 2014, a renewed vision for a broader, Christ-centered mission led to the church officially re-registering as Christ Centered Church of Tampa.
In 2016, Pastor Eby Varghese returned from two years of Bible training in Colorado with a fresh passion to build a multicultural, multigenerational church — one equipped to serve the diverse communities of the Tampa Bay region. A defining milestone followed in 2017, when the church purchased its permanent home at 326 N Dover Rd, Dover, FL 33527, providing a dedicated space for worship, discipleship, and community outreach.
Today, Christ Centered Church of Tampa continues to grow as a Christ-focused, Spirit-led, multicultural congregation — committed to making disciples and serving the Tampa Bay area with love, compassion, and biblical truth.
What We Believe
Our Purpose: To reflect the unconditional love of Jesus Christ and multiply disciples across generations." Proclaim: Declaring the finished work and unconditional love of the Cross. Connect: Cultivating authentic, Christ-centered relationships. Equip: Developing believers to discover their calling and step into ministry. Transform: Reaching souls and serving our surrounding communities.
We believe in the unconditional love of God, fully and perfectly revealed through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God — the ultimate standard for faith and life.
We believe in one eternal God who exists as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that salvation is received by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ, apart from works or human merit.
We believe in the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit, who empowers every believer to live a life of purpose, freedom, and supernatural effectiveness.
We believe in divine healing, restoration, and the abundant life that Jesus Christ secured for every person through His redemptive work.
We believe in the Great Commission — the call to go into all the world, preach the Gospel, and make disciples of every nation.
