Uttar Pradesh
India
About Uttar Pradesh Uttar Pradesh is India’s most populous state, comprising 75 districts and over 230 million people. It is widely known for its iconic temple architecture, major rivers, and the world-famous Taj Mahal in the Agra district. Pastor Thomsi Philip’s Journey Born and raised in a Roman Catholic family, Pastor Thomsi Philip accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. At 17, he surrendered his life to ministry and moved to North India with his wife, Jessy. For 11 years, he served alongside a gospel team—a period that provided valuable field experience and deeply rooted him in North Indian ministry. In 2009, while fasting and praying, Pastor Thomsi received a vision from God—much like the calling of Paul and Barnabas—directing him to go where there was no active ministry, proper roads, or electricity. Obeying the call, he stepped out as a pioneer in Loni, located in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Leaning on God’s grace through numerous challenges, he was granted an open door to conduct services in a school for five years. Through the love of God, around 100 people came to faith during this period. The ministry later transitioned to a rented space and expanded, and within another five years, God provided a permanent worship location. Over 12 years of faithful service, God has worked through Pastor Thomsi and his family to expand the ministry across 10 locations, supported by 8 full-time pastors. Vision and Prayer Strategy Statewide Reach: Praying and actively focusing on establishing at least one fellowship in every district across Uttar Pradesh. Leadership & Church Planting: Hosting youth camps throughout Uttar Pradesh to equip believers for ministry and providing specialized training focused on church planting.
